M0: Sports Industry Primer

  • Describe the four drivers of the sports business (media rights, sponsorship, gate revenue, merchandise)
  • Explain the main actors in the sports industry ecosystem (properties, brands, media, venues, agency, ownership groups)
  • Define core concepts in sports business (ex: OTA, OTT, fragmentation, reach, activation, engagement, secondary market, etc)

 

M1: A New Age of Sports

  • Identify significant change agents from the past 50 years and explain how they impacted the sports industry.
  • Analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sports industry.

 

M2: The Fluid Fan is Here

  • Explain the concept of the Fluid Fan and contrast it to the way the sports industry has historically considered fans.
  • Identify the behaviors that characterize the Fluid Fan.
  • Describe the ways in which Fluid Fan behaviors can be influenced and monetized.
